A queen anne style fire grate by renowned foundry thomas elsley circa 1860. A very good quality grate in brass and cast iron. The cabriole legs, bulbas finials and scrolled apron in brass. The decorative fire back with opposing gryphons. Stamped on the back t elsley english circa 1860s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
