Antique 18th C. Jinn Tooth Worm Painting, Framed (Mixed Media on Paper). Ancient Islamic belief was that the Jinn would take the shape of worm and would eat reside in the teeth which was the cause of tooth rot and/or toothache. The teeth painting look to be done in gouache and ink washes. Stamped with a seal in the lower left. Housed and floated on archival matte under UV filtering glass in a metal floral motif frame. In very good condition with wear to the page consistent with age.
