A pair of fine and early Bennington Potters triangular trinket trays. Signed on the reverse with early COOP and hand and face cipher mark. This mark apparently pre-dates the spark/forearm and hand stamp. The line image of the clarinet player (?) is the same on both examples. Both have a matte glaze; one is a light grayish green and the other is a speckled grayish brown. Both have a curved corner triangular form with a slightly raised edge.
Good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations. Minor glaze loss to the edge of the speckled tray (see photo). No visible crazing. Some cosmetic base wear. The glaze is applied heavily to one piece so that the definition of the musician isn't as crisp as the other example. The signature of that example is also not as clear.
Packed and shipped with care.
Each is approximately 7.88" x 4" x .75" high.
