Hand-Knotted 100% Ghazni Wool Rug
Forsythia typically mean the first sign of spring, a joyous occasion after a New York winter. While spending countless days in upstate New York for the Wildflower Farms project, we became enamored with Forsythia and the color they bring to the fields. The colors in this rug are inspired by the mustards and vibrant yellows found in the wild Forsythia.
The Forsythia rug is hand-knotted with a vintage distressed finish, made in Pakistan. This finish is something Ward + Gray have spent many years perfecting - the distressing is all done by hand with irregularity to feel time-worn and authentic, as though the same furniture has moved across it over the years. For these rugs we use hand-spun Ghazni wool which comes from Afghanistan and is known for its luster.
Lead time is 12-14 weeks.
