A beautiful and quite charming antique Victorian shaving mirror. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.
This is of superb quality, and is beautifully carved. The oval mirror sits on a tripod base, the mirror can be angled and adjusted with an original metal sharks tooth mechanism on the back.
This mirror sits quite low, because the man shaving would be sitting on a chair in front of it.
We have had the frame re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. The beveled glass looks to be original, there is some minor distressing to the silvered backing on the edges.
