This unusual vintage wall & desk light was designed by Kaare Klint for Le Klint in Denmark. First produced in the 1940s this example was manufactured in the early 1950s. The light features a brass base with dark brown bakelite handle and cotton pleated off white colored lampshade. The shade can be turned in different positions. The light is adjustable and can be used as a wall lamp as well as a desk lamp. Total height with lampshade is 17.7" (45 cm), width 9.9" (25 cm), depth 9.9" (25 cm). Height without shade is 12.2" (31 cm). The switch is on the plastic cord. The light requires one E27 bulb. Diameter of lampshade 9.9" (25 cm). Height of lampshade 5.9" (15 cm). The light comes with a continental European 2-pin plug and adapter for use in US. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
