Vintage Italian, heavy palette oil on canvas. Translates to "Dog Hunting in the Ruins". Signed by LC Capitano. Fabulous murky and mineral teals and earthy browns, clear paleness of marble and granite, slim dog slinking about.
4 x 3 feet, light weight, very aged and authentic patina, seems like someone might have transported it from the Old Country on a leaky rough ship bound for freedom and prosperity in America. Maybe they had to leave their dog in the ancient columns and marble ruins of Rome.
