The colors are used as a gateway to the beauty within a random arrangement of fruit, vegetables and wares. Although the viewer can't literally "taste" the colors there is a distinct call to the senses in this expressive still life inspired by the works of Matisse.

Reminiscent of the early expressionists the artful forms and incorporation of patterning in this painting retain a sense of spontaneity and boldness.
