Probably lived its life as a section of wall paneling in an English library or perhaps as a frieze on an antique furniture piece. Tabs at the end and slots on the top would suggest that it was part of a larger continuous surface; the tab protrusions could easily be removed if one desires a squared off edge.
Flat back makes it a cinch to hang as wall decor; just add hanging hardware as needed (not included). Perfect over a doorway or window, above a mantel, or as a grouping with framed art. Excellent for many types of decorative styles: Arts & Crafts, Mission, Southwestern, Traditional, Cottage, Lodge, and more.
