Borek Sipek (1949-2016) studied interior design at the School for Arts and Crafts in Prague. In 1983 he established his design workshop in Amsterdam, where he started his collaboration with italian company Driade. Sipek is said to be the god-father of "Neo-Baroque," working between architecture, furniture, and glass, with a boldly eclectic and emotional sensibility.
