Large and dramatic vintage Italian double wall sconce, circa 1970s, in the style of Gaetano Sciolari. The fixture features a monumental diamond-shaped smoked mirrored-metal backplate with two opposing sculptural brass-toned appliqués, each formed from layered, elongated cutout elements.
Two chrome-finished light sockets project from the center, creating a striking contrast against the dark reflective panel and warm brass elements. The openwork brass forms produce a graphic, almost kinetic pattern while reflecting light across the mirrored backplate. With its oversized scale and bold mixed-metal construction, this fixture makes an exceptional statement for a foyer, stairwell, corridor, dining room, or above a large console or mirror.
