The shape is curvaceous and irregular with thick mottled browns, khakis and olive green glazes. Every curve and angle of the pitcher is covered with subtle abstract faces that are incised into the piece giving it movement and texture. This piece comes alive. It is obviously by a master. It seems to be initialed LNLI but not positive. But the piece reminds me of early Peter Voulkos and it is certainly influenced by Picasso. See less
