On the Design:

This design looks much like a low-pile, hand-knotted interpretation of Cecim Kilims, a double-weft flatweave style known for this almost ‘embroidered’ textural look and near-black warp under similar shapes and colors to this piece. It features black with charcoal accents underscores a range of subtle, muted hues of a rich look, especially purple and ice blue that play beautifully with the dark field and give such traditional geometric patterns (mainly stripes and diamond-style geometric patterns with ram’s horn detailing) an interesting look.

It is a very smart piece likely by a special workshop and studious weaver, who made an exceptional piece of old-world look with gentle touches of modernity that make such a comfortable, smart choice.
