'Obsessed by the light and the transformations produced on the surfaces, the relief paintings are vibrant, highly textured and have a sculptural impact which creates a powerful visual effect. The texture technique, which I developed myself, incorporates natural elements such as, minerals, paper, stones, wood with gesso, adhesive and pigments. Each painting contains many layers of textures and pigments which in turn are enhanced with oil paint.'
