Quadruple plate was a process at … Read more Quadruple plate tipping coffee pot and stand made by Wilcox Silverplate Co. circa 1878. Quadruple plate was a process at the time that uses four times the silver as standard silver plating. The underside of the stand is marked Wilcox Silverplate Co., Quadruple Plate, Meriden, 343". Date patent marks found on the inside of the pot near the spout. Most likely intended for coffee; good for water, lemonade, iced tea, etc. Ornate floral design, with matching base to coffee pot and stand. The height to the top of the stand is 18". The pot is 13" to the top of the lid, and 7" wide at the bottom of the base.

Antique item in very good condition with age related wear as would be expected. Structurally sound with little to no silver loss. Remnants of tarnish, small surface scratches, etc. There is a dent to the right of the handle as shown in the last photo. The coffee pot is insulated. There is small amount of loose debris between pot and the base. Holds water without leaking. See less
