This vintage 5x8 rug, hand-knotted in wool, circa 1960-1970, is one of Zeki Müren’s rare pieces in ‘solid’ silver/gray tones with beige accents, features a muted look of pattern born of the weaving technique—subtle yet fabulous.
On the Design:
Connoisseurs will appreciate this design that represents one of his rare pieces in ‘solid’ tones, though even such a simple and comfortable piece is far from ordinary when done by Zeki Müren. It’s a delicious use of silver and gray tones and a muted look of pattern born of the weaving technique—subtle yet fabulous.
Keen eyes for detail will further admire the sheer attention to variation and movement created therein—an exemplar of Müren’s most distinguished works. It represents a muted take on medallion patterns, again one of his few pieces approaching the idea of ‘plain’ and still a rich and interesting work of shabby-chic art exploring subtlety—most of all its beauties it’s so comfortable and livable
Condition:
This mid-century Zeki Müren rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Its construction has been lowered to preserve its construction, which lends it the distressed look of wear and chic in a low pile.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
