Founded in 1715, Martell is the oldest of the "big four" cognac houses. In 1912, the Martell Cordon Bleu launched at the Hôtel de Paris and was served at the coronation of George V. A bottle of Martell Cordon Bleu is in the opening scene of the famous film, Apocalypse Now, directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
