A 9x17 antique Arraiolos rug from the titular region of Portugal, famed for its craft honed through generations of needlewomen.
This beauty enjoys a neoclassical, turn-of-the-century Arts & Crafts sensibility featuring a regal play of gold and a pale, muted beige-pink complementing the gorgeous floral pattern. Handmade in wool, circa 1910-1920.
Extremely collectible given its good condition, gracious size, and distinguished provenance among the earliest of its kind from Portugal.
