Late 19th Century Century egg Chinese art pottery pot featuring an Asian dragon along the front. These Pots are over 120 years old and were used to store black "Century eggs" and now make great planters for the garden, as jardinières, cachepots, or fishbowl.
Century eggs, also known as preserved eggs, are a Chinese delicacy made by preserving duck, chicken, or quail eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice husks for several weeks to months. They have a unique taste and texture, with a creamy, custard-like yolk and a translucent, jelly-like egg white.
In the style of Tony Duquette.
