Vintage Authentic Hand Painted Egyptian Papyrus Painting of Queen Nefertiti. Framed with black mat: 18" Wide x 22" High x 1" Deep.
Image: 13" Wide x 17" High.
Papyrus is a material similar to thick paper that was used in ancient times as a writing surface. It was hand made from the pith of an aquatic plant and has naturally occurring vertical and horizontal lines throughout. The image of this Egyptian queen, quite likely Queen Nefertiti, was hand painted with metallic paints and then professionally framed on a black matte in a gold wood frame. Signed bottom center left.
