This flatweave is from a rare pair of twin 3x17 vintage Persian Kilim runner rugs, hand-knotted in wool circa 1950-1960. These tribal runners are nearly identical in size and design, with geometric patterns in red, blue and beige tones.
On the Design:
Admirers of the craft will appreciate a pair of extra-long runners as an extremely rare find in this provenance. Both pieces are finely woven, with vibrant and saturated colors in all-natural vegetable dye that’s aged beautifully overtime.
