Hand-woven in reed and leather circa 1940-1950, this 10x16 vintage Tuareg Moroccan area rug is from the nomadic tribe of the same name. A rare large-size selection, its design enjoys warm beige undertones and rich brown geometric patterns in large-scale medallion style.
On the Design:
Connoisseurs will admire Tuareg mats as distinct works with their own rich history and unique, masterful craftsmanship. This design is also one of few in its kind to favor an open field and minimalist approach to the primitivist Berber geometric patterns. The large size further connotes a particularly intricate work—likely made by two or more weavers with meticulous detail. It’s as much a collectible piece of folk art and nomadic culture as a comfortable, durable floor covering today.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
