Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, this 3x15 vintage Persian tribal Kilim and extra-long runner rug is a rare curation. Its design enjoys mosaic-like geometric patterns in gold, beige-brown, blue and pink, resembling those of a rare limited series.
On the Design:
Admirers of the craft will appreciate an extra-long runner as an especially uncommon find in Kilims of any period. This flatweave is particularly ideal of the craft in sheer detail and variety of colors, among several intricate beauties. The sense of movement, presence and personal touches are all exemplary of what distinguishes tribal Kilims among Persian rugs. Its extra-long runner size is especially well-suited to full staircases, long hallways and other narrow spaces, too.
Condition:
This mid-century Persian Kilim runner further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Its all-natural vegetable dye has aged beautifully, as seen by the colors—one of several extremely collectible traits on display.
