Gorgeous English aesthetic movement bookstand with a display shelf and a large magazine rack or canterbury. Beautifully crafted from tortoise shell bamboo poles. The stand has a small shelf measuring 45 inches high and a larger shelf measuring 29 inches high. The wood shelves are Japanned with distinctive painted Asian motifs. Very unusual and versatile piece. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
