Set of 2 unique cast bronze chandeliers hand-sculpted by william guillon lv-426 dimensions: h 135 x 55 x 55 cm materials: cast bronze, porcelain dimensions can be customized. Lv426 refers to the name of the planet visited by the crew in the alien movie. William has been obsessed by space and science-fiction ever since he was a child. The universe created by hr giger and moebius have had a very strong impact on his vision, and this is his tribute to them. With this creation referring to their work, he wants to make their universe accessible and to arouse curiosity towards this very peculiar aesthetic. In those pieces, one might see tortuous tree branches, or even fruit grapes. In his mind, it’s an interpretation of the alien’s creature structure. This collection in all its complexity required several months of development. As in the sweet thing collection, each piece is sculpted by hand by the artist before it is cast in bronze in a french foundry. All the pieces are unique and their shapes, finishes (patina and polish) can be adapted and customized on demand. The lampshades are made in a porcelain workshop in limoges, the city which historically beholds the higher expertise and skills in this field. Each porcelain cocoon is handmade and gives the structure a mineral aspect. They are all unique and diffuse a soft and warm light to the room. William guillon’s main influences are strong artistic movements, often dark and filled with modern melancholy. Obsessed with a futuristic dystopic vision, the issues he addresses are always loaded with his attraction for a strong imagery. Beyond his influences, he has always been driven by his love for noble materials, raw materials to work on and embellish without altering them. Always valuing handicraft work, his objects are designed as high quality products, without ever compromising the aesthetics for the easy option. William guillon has set up his studio with, as a basis, a reflexion around black and darkness. His interest for luminous objects was indeed born of a desire to carve this darkness with light as if it were a pure and precious material. William guillon’s creations are handmade in france, are all available in various finishes and materials. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
