An iconic 2-seater sofa, model “Sandwich” (model 750), designed by Peter van der Ham and manufactured by Artifort in the Netherlands around 1980.
A comfortable piece with a nice modern yet minimalist style. The black wooden base holds a high quality red Kvadrat fabric upholstered seat and back. It’s the interlocking structure between base and seat that makes this design so unique! It was originally designed by artist Van der Ham for an exhibition of Metz&Co and later was taken into limited production by Artifort.
It remains in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
