This 4x4 vintage needlepoint rug is a rare signed piece and pictorial design, handmade with wool circa 1960-1970.
On the Design:
Keen eyes will note the signature is woven into the lower-left corner; both the year and two sets of initials. These may reference the artist or workshop, though “SSK” may refer to the “slip slip knit” technique as well. Its field is sky blue, befitting the central illustration of an Eagle carrying the revolutionary American flag (as signified by its stars) and a banner that reads “LIBERTY” and “1776” in its talons.
Admirers of the craft will appreciate how rare it is to discover pictorial rugs in antique and vintage curations. They’re among the richest stories in any provenance, just as this needlepoint is a piece of Americana and charm.
Condition:

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
