His work was "discovered" by the Boston society portrait painter and frame designer H. Dudley. Murphy while the artist still lived in Italy. The admiration for Caser's work by both Murphy and John Singer Sargent motivated the artist to visit the US where his technique, steeped in the lessons of the Venetian painterly tradition, was readily accepted by other artists and critics of the era (early 1900's.). After WWI, Caser returned permanently to the U.S., became a naturalized citizen and worked mostly in New York City. He also executed murals in Boston, Toledo, Chicago and NYC. In 1945 there was a posthumous exhibition of his work held at the Grand Central Art Galleries.. Ref: AskArt.com
