Artist Bio:
Daisy Nasser was born in São Paulo in 1943. She graduated from the Pan American School of Art (1966); from the Paulista School of Decoration (1969); at FAAP she completed courses in sculpture drawing (1970), at the Brazilian Institute of Gems she took several courses (1972) and courses in cut stones (Design) (1974).



She studied with the renowned sculptors Calabrone and Beccheroni (1983) and with Professor Antonio Santos Lopes (1984/1985). She studied in New York at the Art Students League (1986) and the studios Helena Blumenfeld and the sculptor Masuda (1998).



In 1999 she worked in Europe, researching diverse materials and attend Italian foundries.



She was present among other exhibitions, at the I Brazilian Contemporary Art Exhibition, Lisbon, Portugal, where she was awarded a gold medal; 7th National Salon of Plastic Art, São José do Rio Preto, SP; Immigrants Salon at the São Paulo Biennial; 10th Contemporary Art Show, Ribeirão Preto, SP; Itaú Gallery (1984); Tampa and Miami, USA; Fine Art Acquisitios, SOHO, New York, USA; The Hebrew; "The Sculpture to the Reach of All"; Noble Hall IV Centennial; Contemporary Art Exhibition, Tampa, USA, where he also obtained a gold medal (1986); XX Contemporary Art Exhibition, "Chapel Ar Show" (1987); Espaço Cultural Castros Hotel, Goiânia, GO; Cultural Space of Hotel Eron, Brasília, DF (1988); Trump Tower Cultural Center, New York, USA (1990); Sculpture Gallery (1991); Gallerie de L'Ille, Montral, Canada (1992); Cultural Space Hotel Negresco, Nice, France (1994).
