Decorated with a hand painted panel of a gardener working in his garden to illustrate a poem by William Cowper titled "The Task". A line from this poem is excerpted in hand script on the base of the urn: "And neatly tied are wedded thus like beauty to old age for interest sake, the living to the Dead."

Wonderful turquoise blue - robin's egg ground color with expert gilding and pearl bead trim. Measures 5 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" wide. Good condition. See less
