The chairs were originally designed in 1954 by the German Eddie Harlis & manufactured by the design furniture firm Thonet. The seats are made from moulded plywood & covered with a beech veneer which has been stained green. The two openings in the backrest are not only for aesthetic detail but are also necessary from a technical point of view. The legs are in a beautiful chromed steel. See less
