The vibrant reds, light blues, light greens, and ivory, that decorate this beautiful antique Kazak carpet (circa Late 19th century) are all representative of early Caucasian weaving. Its tribal geometric design is in line with the finest of Caucasians, while the composition is characterized by a series of various shapes, with a large scale medallion resting in the center of the field.
