The field design of this late 19th century antique Caucasian Kazak runner features six tribal medallions of differing colors surrounded by bordered patterns of intersecting tribal motifs and flowers rendered in jewel tones. The main border is an extension of the tribal design and is set against a background of burgundy, in contrast to the central blue field.
