This original oil painting invites a sense of wonder with its rich tapestry of silhouettes, shapes and colors. Bright pink flowers are nestled among a copper kettle, a dark woven basket and some bright colored fruit. Hints of an artwork in the background add to the dense patterning and broad array of colors. Beautiful use of line is used to simplify the shapes in a way that captures the character of what's present.

Inspiration for this oil painting began with the flowers and the bold magenta hues I was drawn to. I enjoy working with the idea of patterning as well as color which influenced the other choices that were added to the arrangement.

I created the painting on a gallery wrapped canvas. It is a signed original. This can be hung framed or unframed. See less
