Chadbourn is regarded as one of Maine's most prolific and popular painters and his works are represented in numerous museums and in the private collections of many prominent collectors. His life’s travels led him to France, Greece and in WWII to the Pacific. Born in Turkey to a U.S. diplomat, his first show was in Paris in 1949, and sponsored by the playwright/poet Cocteau.
