Second in a series created by Master Artist Roman Belousov of the village of Palekh, RSFSR as well as hailing from the USSR which no longer exists. Second, the individual work in porcelain has been made by traditional techniques as a part of an edition limited to a maximum of 150 firing days. Third, it is from the first limited edition box collection of its kind, and the first ever authorized for export. "The Legend of the Enchanted Princess". A rectangle shape box with dome style lid.

Measuring: 4" long x 3 1/4" high x 2 1/8" deep, the condition of this item is pristine, excellent, gorgeous. A 600-year tradition of lacquer miniature painting, whereby artisans use delicate, sable-tipped brushes and apply 24-karat gold, which is burnished with a wolf's tooth to achieve a mirror-like polish. Using 14 ceramic colors and 24 karat gold on Black lacquer background. Individual number kiln-fired into back stamp.

Clearly back stamped on bottom in Black, dated 1989 as well as USSR. See less
