Antique Japanese Isho-Dansu Kasane Kimono Cabinet from the Meiji period.
Kasane cabinet translates to "chest on chest". The cabinet is two-parted, a design aimed to facilitate transportation in the past. Both sections are linked together by means of metal handles on the sides.
This tansu features four spacious drawers, each equipped with metal handles and round lockplates (without key).
Due to its age, this unique cabinet boasts a beautifully weathered appearance. It has been thoroughly cleaned and treated, ready to embark on its next chapter.
A piece of Japanese history that will add authenticity to your interior.
Dimensions: height 102 cm, width 97 cm, depth 43 cm.
