This stunning and gorgeous restored red, black, orange colored art deco glass lamp is from the fine and noted German … Read more This stunning and gorgeous restored red, black, orange colored art deco glass lamp is from the fine and noted German metal company of WMF. They have been in business since the mid 1880's. It is red with swirls and veining of black set against the red sphere ball. It becomes a sea of orange red with hints of amber amoebas floating on and off when lite. It is an early one all with original but newly nickeled silver hardware.It has been fully rewired and restored for United States sockets ands use. The bulb is on the inside and has the two part socket with the round turn off/on switch. When lite, the most amazing beautiful sculptural glow, color and floating ameoba forms take shape inside. The glass portion alone is 12" H x 13" D. Sorry the photos do not do justice to show you the on presentation. This now just needs a great white drum shade at your end. It is of the period of the 1930s but looks so modern. This is rare and unusual and fabulous! It has a sensuality to it when the light is one and the shapes and forms take light. Sculptural and artistic! It is organic modern meets art deco with sensuality when the light is on!
It is a WOW table , desk, console or side lamp. We have not seen this lamp around. All restored and rewired. See less
