Splendid Giova lamp designed by Gae Aulenti in 1964 for Fontana Arte, the famous Italian lighting design house.
It has the particularity of having 2 possibilities of use, lamp and vase. Indeed, it is composed of a chromed metal base surmounted by a large globe in transparent blown glass and an inner globe in polished white opaline glass. The glass half-sphere is an azure blue dotted with small bubbles, and can be used as a vase to place flowers, or as an empty pocket for example….
This is a first edition from the 1960s !
