Design by Gunnar Ander, a Swedish artist born in 1908. He created many objects in metal and glass which are represented in museums in Sweden. He collaborated with Lindshammar Glasbruk and Ystad Metall until his death.
Lindshammar Glasbruk (or Glassworks), was founded in 1905 by Robert Rensch, a German glassblower who had worked at other Swedish glass factories (Pukeberg and Kosta).
In its early years Lindshammar produced mainly cut glass tableware and coloured ornamental glass. Art glass production started only in 1949 with the arrival of Gunnar Ander. In 1984 the firm went bankrupt and in 1985 it was bought by Ulf Rosén, whose family had long been in the glass industry and is still in activity today. This piece has an attribution mark,
