This is a ancient portrait of a Lady, a young woman painted in the 1930s.

The antique painting is enclosed in a beautiful carved and lacquered wooden frame called Montparnasse, coeval with the painting.

The antique painting is signed in the bottom left by M. Callewaert Belgian painter born in Mouscron in Flanders.

Maurice Callewaert (1900-1986) painted paintings of nudes and was a landscape painter.

During his career as an artist he participated in the 'Salon Des Indépendants'.

Old painting 20th century. The antique frame and the painting are restored. Belgian antiquity.
