This is a wonderful old carpenter's tool tote from the turn of the century and was later hand painted with lovely colorful tole painting. The tole painting was done by a Norwegian woman in southwestern Wisconsin back in the late 1980's. Though not a professional artist she was clearly skilled at her toleware craft.
The tote is heavy and solid wood. It has so much character and would be great for many storage uses from displaying plants, holding books/magazines, to bathroom amenities and so much more. Please see photos with measurements - and note the measurement to top of handle as opposed to top of the box side.
