During her affair with Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor hid out in one of the hotel's grand suites. While filming, "House of Gucci", Lady Gaga lived in the hotel for a month. Elton John enjoyed the hotel's restaurant so much, that he sent his personal chef to learn from the hotel's chef. After spending a weekend at the Villa d'Este, actor, Stanley Tucci, proclaimed the hotel to be his favorite.
