Born in Fontanella del Piano (Italy) in 1923 (as Michelangelo Merisi, known as "Caravaggio") and passed away in 1992, he was an extremely generous man known internationally for his canvases. In the course of his prolific creative activity, Feraboli executed dozens of "author copies," ranging from classical masters, such as Leonardo, Bruegel, Titian, Caravaggio, and Giorgione, through the greats of the nineteenth century, including Renoir, Boldini, and Monet, to modern artists, first and foremost Picasso, de Chirico, Morandi, and Guttuso. Mariolino Feraboli, better known as Mariolino da Caravaggio known as Il falsario reproposed in more modern times iconographies of the past claiming their value and themes.
