An original oil on canvas set in an antique carved wood frame. The painting is signed by the artist and dated '31. We are presuming 1831 based on the condition of the canvas and stretcher as well as the street scene, which appears to be more consistent with the 19th century than the 20th century. We have not been able to identify the artist, so age is our best estimate. The frame is approximately 17" x 22" x 2". The stretcher is approximately 14" x 19".

The painting is in good antique condition with a few very small areas of paint loss (the most prominent being a white spot at top of building on left side of street). Cleaning is recommended if so desired. Please examine photos closely. The frame is in good condition. See less
