this is just a great original piece. Fresh from a local estate, I recently acquired a bunch of cape cod, nantucket, and martha's vineyard items. I will be listing them over the next couple of weeks. Some really great pieces of art and ephemera that are a must have for any collector. This is a wonderful provincetown painting by well listed artist robert cipriani. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included his biography below. This is a wonderful watercolor and gouache on paper measuring 8 3/4 x 13 inches. Signed, titled and dated in pen lower right. A stunning view of the dunes of cape cod. Painting is in perfect as painted condition. Painting has been taped with archival tape verso into the back of the archival double matte and framed in a wonderful gold frame. The top corners of the gold frame show some issues and are reinforced with tap. It can be hung as it stands but a new frame would really make this a stunning presentation of this great provincetown painting. Frame measures 19 1/4 x 22 3/4 inches.

For those not familiar with the artist his biography from a gallery that sells the artist's work reads: "Robert Cipriani was a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and was both a professional artist and a noted graphic designer. His paintings are represented by numerous corporate and private collections. They have received a variety of awards, including an "Artist of the Year, Painting" designation from the Cambridge Art Association and the "Directors' Choice: Best Cape Cod Landscape" award at the 2007 Juried All Cape Cod Show..” See less
