Offering a stunning authentic Mottahedeh Tureen with lid and base plate, circa Mid to Late 20th Century. There is no slot for the spoon, so most likely this was used as a serving dish or lidded casserole dish. Of course this is so large it can hold soup if so desired and holds about a gallon of liquid. Can be used for for food.
This elegantly beautiful Tureen is quite impressive in style and floral design. It has beautiful lavender orchids, yellow and pink roses, and lots of other varieties of colorful flowers including mums, violets and daisies. There are wonderful bouquets of flowers throughout the colorful lid, the tureen itself and the base plate. The base plate is a large 13' size, so please see other dimensions below to see the impressive scale of this fabulous item.
The piece is topped off with its metallic gold rim around the base plate and tureen. The lid is decorated with this same metallic gold. A double rim on the edge and lots of geometric gold scallops near the center handle. It is signed Italy under the tureen and signed Italy in two places as well as the traditional Mottahedeh insignia underneath the baseplate.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
