In the 60s the Beatles arrived in the US, when asked about their mop head hairdo, apparently Ringo answered "I call it Arthur". Hence the name for the discotheque which was started by Richard Burton's first wife, Sybill. It became an overnight sensation with celebrities, and a few lucky others, lining up to enter and witness history.

From the time when nightclubs were full of smoke, and a cigarette in hand was more common than not.
This ashtray is in very good vintage condition with no cracks but with age appropriate.....and use appropriate, after all it was used in a club setting..... little chips around the top inner edges of the ashtray.
