Hand-knotted in wool and originating from Germany circa 1920-1930, this 3x6 antique tiger runner rug is an exciting, rare new curation from the Rug & Kilim collection.
On the Design:
Pictorial rugs are among some of the richest works of folk art in any culture, though connoisseurs will note this piece is a particularly special piece like few European rugs from its period.
The design depicts a single, bold tiger of outstanding detail in bright red, off-white and brown against a beige field. Its depiction of a roaring tiger is especially graphic, and a dynamic representation of this animal like few even among cultures known for this style. The sense of movement is distinguished from its kind, though its striking presence and attitude are exemplary for the attitude that animal rugs, especially tigers, embody.
Condition:
This collectible further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and is ideal for wall-hanging projects as it is the floor.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when
making a purchase on Chairish, in the event that your item:
- Does not arrive
- Is broken during transit

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
