Stunning Pair of Large Antique Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Vase Globe Lamps. This pair of cloisonné enamel vases is of baluster form, each vase raised by a flared foot, culminating in a waisted, flared neck c 1920. The Chinese cloisonne vases have been transformed into simply stunning globe lamps. The body of each vase is profusely decorated with cloisonné enamel geometric motif designs, all set above the beautiful rich blue enamel ground. The enamel body designs depict traditional Chinese plums on plum blossom branches, amid a variety of flowers below and above—including peonies, chrysanthemums, camellias, and lotus blossoms. The feet and necks of the vases are similarly decorated with the rich blue cloisonné enamel ground color, while the neck is bordered top and bottom with ruyi head friezes with a light blue and green outline. The vases at the top have gilt rims and two additional bands of gilding are used to delineate the foot from the body.
Both lamps have a beautiful patina that only comes with age Each lamp comes with a black Asian wood stand. Brand new luxurious features include Rayon Fabric electric cords/ plugs with brass dimmer knobs. The Switches are conveniently located at the base of each lamp for easy use & enables you to adjust the Globe light (Low to High) to suit your mood. It can be brilliant white or turned down to a gentle warm glow. Just turn up the style volume with these wonderful Acrylic 18" Globe shades, as the illumination thrown from the Globe Lamps is Phenomenal in any room.
